The Fifth Annual Austin Autism Society Bike Ride
will be held
Sunday, April 1, 2012
in Berry Springs Park and Preserve in Georgetown, Texas

Thanks to our 350+ fearless riders and super sponsors, the 2011 Austin Autism Society Bike Ride raised more than $10,000 to support the activities of the Autism Society of Greater Austin (ASGA).

 WHAT THE AUTISM SOCIETY OF GREATER AUSTIN DOES:

  • provides information and support to families all over Texas who are affected by autism through our meetings, workshops, phone line, website and listserv;
  • responds to inquiries about professionals, elected officials, and members of the community about autism and best practices;
  • advocates for Texans with autism at the state level (during the 2009 legislative session, we worked tirelessly on HB 1574, dedicated to improving adult services and creating a statewide autism resource center; the bill passed!)

With the dramatic increase in the incidence of autism over the past couple decades--from about 1 in 1,000 births 20 years ago to about 1 in 110 births now--the demand for our services has grown beyond the capacity of our all-volunteer staff.  We would like to expand, and we hope you can help.
